Rattery Parish Plan - Land and Building

The results of the building development questionnaire have now been analysed and the summary of results published. We are very grateful to everyone who took part and found time to complete and return the questionnaire.

We were told to expect no more than a 40% return from a survey of this nature but in the end over half the households in the Parish replied.  The message was extremely clear with an overwhelming majority of parishioners rejecting both further development on greenfield sites and any large scale development in the parish. This is not surprising but the size of the majority was greater than expected.

The Land and Buildings Working Party of the Parish Plan is now considering the implications of the survey and finding out more about the planning process before deciding what it can do to help ensure that the wishes of the community are taken into account by South Hams District Council as part of the wider consultation on the emerging Local Plan.

If parishioners would like to share their thoughts and ideas please get in touch.
